You weren't asking me, but it affects our household so I'll respond.
Our friendly neighborhood film & television editor ended his three-year stint at HGTV two weeks ago when his show wrapped, so let's hope that the several gigs he's applying to now use non-union. (Since he does primarily reality TV, they generally are, so we have high hopes.)
Our friendly neighborhood film & television marketers won't be affected right now (though we won't be getting any new TV gigs) but depending on how long things go, we may see a slight shortage later on. A larger problem for us may be the reduced amount of writing the studios allow on our projects (since we built our name on writing clever content.)
And our friendly neighborhood screenwriters won't be able to submit or pitch on anything until afterwards; a bummer since we're both working on them right now. Though hopefully the AMPAS and Sundance contests will still be accepting entries in a few months. Sigh.
