I was just telling the Girl about how Morgan Freeman used to be on a kid's show called 'The Electric Company" and how I loved to watch the show primarily because of him. (We were watching 'Evan Almighty' and she was wondering what other movies he's been in). TEC was a great show, like 'Sesame Street' it was new, a bit subversive compared to a lot of the crap that was out then, and most of it would be considered totally un-PC these days. I see very little on TV these days that even comes close to the originality and excellence that shows like the early 'Sesame Street', 'Zoom' and 'Electric Company' had going for them.
