The Ion USB turntable has gotten pretty bad reviews for audio quality. I have a Griffin iMic (a little analog > digital USB adapter) plus a Griffin Turntable Connection cable (which, in addition to grounding, takes the left and right RCA jacks and converts them to a mini). I have a few hundred bootleg cassettes I'd like to transfer to CD. I no longer have a cassette deck and I understand there is a similar device to hook a cassette apparatus to a computer (sort of as Mousepod describes). Has anyone used such a device? Any reports? Is there a digital cassette player that will plug into a PC? I admit it, I've not done any homework here. Just need help where to go since stereos are pretty much passe these days, or so it would seem. Cassettes are certainly dead, right?
