Because this is my thread and I'll post if I want to...

I went to see Jive Aces last night. They were in town for a private function (someone actually paid to have them come all the way from England) and last night was their only public performance this trip. Since it was a day after my birthday I could consider it a special performance for my birthday even if the band didn't realize that's what they were doing. Such nice boys.

Since it was a school night I only stayed for two of their three sets but it was a great show and I got to see their special guest, Toni Elizabeth Prima (the daughter of Louis Prima and Keely Smith). Since most swing bands channel Louis Prima's music it was a real treat to see her. She sang a couple of songs with the band. She doesn't quite have her mother's voice but she sounded good.
