Nope, sounds kinda lame. I saw the "2" on the box and thought there'd be some sort of side-game, but the weird cooperative mode mostly sounds annoying. I'd just picture a whole lot of, 'WTF, why didn't you get that star bit, retard?! And stop making me jump, asshole!!"

Heh it took me a bit to get used to the controls (I guess like all Wii games it isn't QUITE as intuitive as you'd think), but once I figured it out... wowie. How many stars have you gotten?

Did you play any of the other 3-D Mario games (Mario 64 or Sunshine?). Other than the madness of being upside down all the time (which is handled really beautifully in the game, seamless and not too disorienting), the controls are pretty much the same, so I'm feeling pretty comfortable with it already. Only 3 stars so far. Got the game yesterday, played for a half hour or so last night.
