I think that CP's post explained it good, but in case you need further explanation:
  1. Lay the towel out flat - it will be a rectangle. As an example, lets assume a towel that is 60" x 24".
  2. Fold the towel in half so that it is close to a square in the example it will be approximately 30" x 24".
  3. Fold again in the same direction (to approximately approximately 15" x 24") and keep folding until it is best to roll it up to the finish

And feel free to modify any of the specifics. The basic idea is that you want to physically get the feelings out of your body. By using a rolled towel and pillow, this helps keeps the noise down. Often I will scream into the pillow to help suppress noise.
