Yeah, in re-reading the dates in the news story, I'm pretty sure it was a year ago, wherever the impetus came from, that I heard about it this first time around. Then, it was a sad tale on the social networking boom.

As for anything on television, I am pretty much out the door for work/school before anything comes on TV and busy writing/studying when I'm home at night, or occasionally out with a random friend. LoT and the Yahoo front page are pretty much my touchstones with pop culture. I had no idea this was such the big story these days.

I guess what I got out of this latest reading of the story was that the restrictions Megan was on (it appears as though her mom either logged in for her, or had some sort of restriction that might have included the removal of all internet/whatever) was because she was busted with her former pal and their fake account to talk to boys. I am also understanding that the mom was the one who made the account to take part in her daughter's feud or whatever. However it got out of control, the Josh Evans creators (the parents of the former friend) knew exactly what was up... or so it seemed... if they indeed made that MySpace profile.

Crazy.
