I went to a dinner party at some friend's last night. He happens to be the executive chef at the zoo - you don't turn down an invitation like that.
Erin spent the night with me, and we had our Christmas this morning. Her mom picked her up just after noon to go to Grandma Beth's for family Christmas up there. That's when I start cooking.
Every Boxing Day since Linda and I split I've had her family over for brunch. It's become a required part of Christmas. Egg cassarole, O'brian potatoes, yam and fruit gratin, apple spice bread and fruit pizza.
It's been a good day.
