NA: Ya gotta wear 'em out! Get some kitty krack (aka those catnip thingies), and let the cats have at it while you take little Thurston out to a dog park or something.
I've realized with Barnum that since he's accustomed to sleeping all day while I'm at work, if I have him out and about for several hours, he checks out. On Christmas when we headed home from spending several hours at Alex's parents' house, he just totally flopped in my lap and was OUT.
