Ok, stupid style question time.

I keep trying on shoes similar to mary janes etc and I get annoyed. My toes are rather long for them and you can see where the toes branch off. I've always thought this looked wrong so I don't buy them.

That is, if I don't walk out of them. I need a decent strap to keep shoes on my feet. (I also need a store with wide width shoes. Ok, I'm totally going shoe shopping soon, and I mean it this time, to hell with the prices.)
