Wondering just how much googling was going on in 2000, I found myself, in a few short clicks of the mouse, at Google's corporate history page. While Google was certainly off and running in September of 2000, the earliest entry I can find on rennet tablets is on a page about cheese making, posted on November 2, 2000.

So there.
Although they could have done a Yahoo search (Lycos? Altavista? Ask Jeeves?), I'm not sure they would have found much.
