Thanks. I just took a walk around in 'em, and I can't get over how nice they feel. I don't even wobble, and they distribute the weight upon my whole foot, not just the ball, which is why I've always turned my nose up on heels.

I think I found my new fave shoe brand, especially after checking their other styles on their website.

In other news, just got an update on my mom: we were told the surgery would be today, but now the doctors don't want to touch her, because her original oncologist is convinced there's a cancer reoccurrence on the other side of the blockage (much to the contrasting opinion of the hospital docs), and he refuses to do the surgery right now, because he claims she's too weak to handle it. Let's see here - keep putting it off while she can't eat. No food=weaker body. They've got her on liquid nutrition and physical therapy, but she's no stronger than when she went in the first place. So, now my dad is scrambling to find a doctor who will do the surgery now. There's got to be some kind of law, allowing her to sign the "risk" over, I'm not sure. And, it's been two weeks with her just laying there with an IV, while the docs argue and figure out what to do. I just wish this nightmare would end already.
