For the most part, upscaled DVD's look good enough that I don't feel the need to purchase a new copy in Blu-Ray.

The Blu-ray versions are usually noticeably better but not always so with a movie like 2001 for example, I'm netflixing it first to see if it measures up. Then if I like it I'll pick up a copy in a year or two when I'm ready to re-watch it and the price has dropped.
