I can see being squicked out by a used toy. My friend actually ... essentially stole their toys because her girl kept them when they broke up and she couldn't stand the thought of ex using 'em with another. I think she burned them.
Points for style, but ewwww.
It's one of those things that I think it would be difficult to deal with only in the beginning stages. Once it gets more serious, special toys can be purchased and then it's personal.
