I used RyanAir multiple times when I was there. It is like JetBlue, using outlying airports.
I used it from London, England->Dublin,Ireland->Glasgow, Scotland->Göteborg, Sweden ->Glasgow, Scotland.

Great rates. I will say if you need to make changes to your Itinerary, sometimes it might cost as much as actual ticket. (Or it did at that time, in 2003)
It is no frills, but I recommend it for jumps that you don't want to drive or take train.
