I also found it neat that all of the four acting awards went to European actors. Yay!
I thought there were a lot of touching moments last night. Javier Bardiem's acceptance speech was great. The last part in Spanish was lovely. And at one point they panned to him in the audience and his mom was holding the Oscar. That's so cool. I'd never let my mother touch my Oscar. She'd steal it and have it baptized.
I loved Colin Ferrel's intro for the Once song, too. He seemed genuinely touched to be introducing the duo from his home country.
I loved Daniel Day-Lewis's fake coronation. What an amazingly cool moment.
I also thought the Harlem choir was just okay, but the 11 year old singer was wonderful. She could sing and had an amazing voice for her age.
Amy Adams's song was terrific. She held her own and didn't seem too nervous singing a song on her own with no one else on stage. I thought she was better than Chenowith.
