I would definitely call Nintendo on that one. Is there a different Wii address book number and everything? You should be able to download all the Virtual Console games that you had if it's the same Wii address number, or Nintendo should reimburse you all the Wii points.
Can't the Wii memory stuff be output to an SD card? (I know for SSB you can do that, but not sure about the Wii internal memory for other games).
I'm sorry about that, I'd be POed too if that happened to me.
