That is the popular theory out there right now....I am still in the camp that it has something to do with the fact that Ben was born near a sign that read Portland - 32...that would be 32 "Miles"

Regarding Miles; remember his visit to the old ladies house? Before he went up the stairs the camera focused on the Wall with all of the pictures. After he did whatever he did up stairs when he came back down the camera once again lingered on the wall with pictures.

The photographs themselves were all the same........the frames, however, were quite different

1) Miles was not up there long enough for the Grandmother to change out so many pictures from wooden frames to metal.

2) No way was this a production error. Way too many frames and the wall wasn't just a random background; they deliberately focused on that wall both before and after Miles did his dustbuster thing.

3) Somehow, someway, Miles must have changed the timeline while talking to the "ghost" in that room.
