I am so envious of monarchies. Gosh, I wish we had one. Does that make me a Tory? I love fairy tales and happily ever after and it seems like monarchies -- particularly figurehead ones whose primary duty is to sell tabloids -- let one indulge in the fantasy. I'm old, fat, and American, (and already married), but I still dream of marrying a Prince. I want to be able to wear a tiara any time I feel like it and not have it seem out of place. Oh sure, I'm going to be President and all some day, but I don't think that includes tiaras. Or nominal claim to vaults of royal jewels. But I would get to cut ribbons.

And exiting that stream of consciousness, it appears that His Serene Highness (which is a swanky title, if there ever was one) isn't looking forward to his royal duties. It's a shame. Sure, he probably wants to do his own thing. But dammit, Americans need more coronation coffee table books! And we still resent His Chuckness, so that's not going to cut it. Do it for the Americans! Think of the children!
