Yes- you were there.

What we did on our spring break-

We went to Disneyland!!! Woot woo!

Trip started well- loaded up the van that I spent $500 on getting road worthy. 2 hours-TWO lousy freaking hours- into the trip it overheats and dies. Won't drive more than a half mile without losing power. We had to leave the van at the rest stop at exit 190 on I-70. A wonderful friend of mine came up and picked up Nox Rose and I- drove us BACK to Parker where we grabbed our two reliable cars (since the van had turned on us) and we returned to pick up three frozen teenage boys who had stayed with the van- in the snow and dark.

So- on our first DAY of driving we made it to the distant port of.......Grand Junction!!! Yeah whee......fizzle.

Had a brief stop in Vegas-

Did not make our California destination til 1am on Monday morning- well, I did- the other 3 showed up around 4am. WAY to start our vacation.

So we all hit Disneyland and DCA like we were storming the beaches at Normandy man! Only with less gunfire and no land mines. Early days, late nights- and we still did not do it all. I had a hard time getting Braden off Autopia and Nox was entranced by the Submarine Voyage and Davis was entranced by his cellphone and the constant text messages from his girlfriend whom he can not seem to live without. Ian and Rose were having a blast and my feet hurt.

We visited my grandfather- who met his great grandchildren for the first time (long story)- the grave is my grandmothers (much hugs Jax)

Thursday was a BIG day for us- one we were looking forward to all week. First day of spring and our Pirate Wedding Day.

Yeah- we eloped to Disneyland.

No joke.

We spent the day doing video and pictures (my best friend is a professional videographer)

we donned our wedding finery and embarked on the wildest and wettest sail on the high seas.

Rose was my bridesmaid-in her best ears too.

We had lunch at the Blue Bayou- with cookie ships for dessert
-and then we had our portrait done by a Disneyland artist.

My Cali friends gathered- and they brought Pirate flags and high spirits. We rode on the private Parlour car on the Disneyland Railroad- the LillyBelle.

Walt used to take royalty and Presidents and celebrities on this car- and it is not open to the public. The ride was a gift from a friend who works there.

We had a special visit from Maynard- a well known and delightful Cast Member

Then we headed over to Pirates of the Caribbean- and loaded a full boat plus 3 more in another ship- my best friends husband pulled out a booklight and the ceremony- I kept the ring box (treasure chest of course) close by and with my sons and my daughter as our wedding party we set sail for romance (very love boat huh?)

We exchanged vows and rings on the ride and when Ken pronounced and we sealed the deal with a kiss the whole boat erupted in yells of delight.

So- we got a little soaked (major splash on the drops) but we had a wonderful time- our wedding day was blessed by all things Disney that day.

Reception was had at the Hearthstone lounge where we had RUM flavored wedding cake (and cupcakes) all flying pirate flags. We even had Pirate chocolates for the favors. I drank a couple blue glowing martinis and a good time was had by all.

Best moment- we cut the cake (with our plastic knife) and while he was kind enough to aim for my mouth- I spread cake and frosting a little to to right- OK- ALOT to the right of his- raised my frosting covered hand and yelled "PIRATE!!"

So yeah- it's all official and legal. We blew past Vegas and got married at the Happiest Place on Earth. Honeymoon at WDW (SOON)-

I came home with a hell of a souvenir!!! As did he I suppose-

It was a blast!!!

The drive home was sleepy for all of us- took me 24 hours because I did it alone and I was TIRED!!!

But we are back safe and sound! and MARRIED!!!

The van got towed- going to cost us $315 to go get it back. AUGHHHHHH!!!!! Gonna haul it back and see what went wrong- if the shop is responsible they said they would pay for it. Not counting on that though.

Squeeeeeee!!! Yeah for elopements at Disneyland!!!

I loves my hunnie!!!
