A friend and her family are in town and spent yesterday at Disneyland and today at DCA. (They got Dream Fastpasses.) I joined them at the park last night and steered them to a good last-minute viewing spot for fireworks. I just LOVE enjoying the fireworks (or other DL joys) through the eyes of someone experiencing it for the first time. I am always very careful to not give anything away, but will point out some of the subtle stuff that might otherwise get missed (images projected on SBC or Matterhorn for example).
Their 13 year old daughter was very fascinated with much of the small trivia (and I was getting a total blank after giving her a few gems of info). If we end up seeing the family one more time before they leave on Monday, I think I will get her David Koenig's
Behind the Ears book. I think she will love it.
Unfortunately, we had a parental end-of-a-long-day-at Disneyland meltdown

But cheerful-happied them out of it
