We actually camped out overnight in line at the El Capitan (then the Paramount) for the opening of Times Square, because as Rocky Horror fans, we were devout Tim Curry fanatics.
We slept on the steps of the Masonic Temple next door (now the studios of the Jimmy Kimmel show) and, in the morning, someone from the Temple hosed down the steps without bothering to wake us up.
Not a wise thing to do to Steve Zlick circa 1980 or so. That afternoon, after everyone from the Temple had gone home ... I found the hose, turned the water on full power, and stuck the hose through the mail slot into the Temple.
Then left to enjoy the movie.
Except, of course, the movie sucked.
