I'm very sad. I knew his health was deteriorating rapidly (he was 95 after all) but both he and Frank were my favorites of the 9 Old Men. Their work was so wonderful, their spirit and companionship amazing and ther personalities endearing. We got to see them both at a screening at LACMA a few years back and I was completely star struck. I am fortunate to have a few items I purchased from the estate sale last year. His office chair is my "art chair". I always hope the power of Ollie will seep through to me.
RIP Ollie. You and the boys create something wonderful for us all in the afterlife, ok?
