Isn't there even a mission near Olvera Street? And, we went to one between here and L.A., not Capistrano. We passed a lot of signs to missions....

Oh my, I've been to many of the missions, but mostly done in childhood trips. So, for most, it has been decades since I paid a visit. It's actually been a few years since I've walked around Mission Dolores in my own fair city!

That won't be this weekend's adventure. This weekend, I will be wallowing (I hope) at the San Francisco Public Library in the SF Historical Society Center oggling photos from the SF Call Bulletin collection for possible new/unusual photos of Valentino etc. (the collection is approximately 250,000 photographs) Hopefully the Valentino, Rambova and Acker files were not pillaged. I won't know until I see them, but I am hopeful for a few new images I've not seen before. Failing that, it is always fun to look. I will also be looking for a friend who is working on the Fatty Arbuckle trials, there should be plenty of photographs of that mess.
