They sound pretty good...except we don't have those kind of shops here.

As far as cupcakes vs traditional cake for Birthdays I do prefer cake. The reason? One of my pet peeves is sprinkles (not the shops you are referencing ). I just don't like the texture of them in my mouth. Yes...I know I'm weird.

However I think a larger than usual cupcake is perfect for a Birthday treat for someone celebrating a Birthday by his/her self (like someone away at College) as long as it includes a candle or two to be placed and lit. It might also work well as a surprise for a friend or a relative that lives far away.

Speaking of candles I have an idea about one that I have not seen done before. Remember the Unbirthday cake from Alice In Wonderland? I am picturing a larger than normal candle (with stripes) that when lit plays the Unbirthday song and looks like a sparkler (but is not fake...if that is even possibl3e I have no idea). Does a candle like this actually exist?
