It was magical.
The sun roof gave us our first glimpse at a starlit sky. About halfway to our destination, NM pulled off the road so that we could stand outside the car and look above. No headlights; only a new moon to light the way - an awe inspiring marvel. Our modern world turned upside down: dark below and light above. A loveliness that takes the breath away.
And the speedy, gut-tingling ascent wasn't half bad either. Vroom and swish!
As for the rest, I'm reveling in sensory memory right now, and I wish to go back. Simply put: Want. More. Camp. Swank.
I echo Chris when I say that I will not be shortening my stay next time. This kind of blissful escape deserves longevity.
