New Studio Site Design

So, I've pretty much finished my wedding and event section of my site.

(Click here for direct link: www.socaleventvideo.com)

Now, I've been redesigning my main site. And, so far, this is the background that I've done:

The texture is completely mine, built in Photoshop, and the entire background was also layered and modified in the same. The old projector photo is one that I took at the Edison in late May.

There will be a menu across the top bar. I'm planning to add a few more decorative "accessories" like pipes or tubes connecting the top bar to the main area, and probably a few gears to create more of the "dynamic" theme to go with my business' name.

Am I headed in a good direction? Do you like it? Hate it?

If this is looking decent, I'm considering making up a few web templates and selling them for some residual income. Do you think it's professional-looking enough that people would buy similar designs?

Thanks for any and all input!
