It is so much more enjoyable to sneak in.

Remember when THE place to stay was the U.S. Grant? Remember when the film programming was 16mm? Remember the time we met Theodore Sturgeon, George Clayton Johnson and Harlan Ellison in the lobby of the Hotel San Diego? Remember when someone stole Jack Kirby's Eisner Award, and Harlan bitched everyone out over the intercom? Remember the time we all slept in the hospitality suite? Or when Patrick drank himself under the bed by 9:00 pm? I once slept on folding chairs in the screening room, lulled to sleep by Invaders From Mars. And what about Peter Goff and Vale Lord in elf suits? Or the haunted floor at the El Cortez?

It's way too big now.
