Yes, I loved that series, too. And also the wife of the mayor (?) who insisted on being a feminist during colonial times -- I'm thinking she was unclear on the concept. Cracked me up.

My favorite of the whole series had to be Manor House, though. I'm so glad I live during a time when classism is not quite as rampant as it was in the 19th century. And I love my indoor plumbing, vacuum cleaner and car!
