For the past couple of weeks, there's been a wild bunny that hangs out in our neighbor's yard. It's not afraid of people, and will come close and dance around when you're nearby, but will (thankfully) bolt if you approach it. This morning, while walking the dogs, I noticed that it had crossed the street. I tried to scare it back the safer yard, but it didn't want to go. I brought the dogs in and Heather came outside with me to check it out. It seems that it likes the seeds that fall from a tree on the other side of the street, and was happily munching on them as we stood a yard away and watched. I'm concerned for its safety because a) it seems too friendly and b) I've seen a coyotes, bobcats and hawks in our neighborhood very recently, but the little guy seems really resilient.
Just another bunny story.
Hope that Munchkin and the new gal (name?) work out their differences soon. She's a real cutie.
