It can probably be repaired for less than the cost of a new TV. But then again, it's also a good excuse to get a new TV.

If you do get rid of it, be sure to dispose of it properly at an electronics recycling facility. Some retailers will also take them. Electronics, especially CRTs, have a great deal of hazardous waste that does not belong in land fills. And some of it can be recycled.
