Hmmm... assuming that ALL Passholders entered, and assuming that my hunch of about 455,000 APs* means that the odds of any individual passholder winning is 1:182.
If only 75% of Passholders is eligible for the drawing, the odds increase to about 1:135. 50% would be about 1:90. If only 2,500 registered then we ALL get a pair (heh, it could happen!).
* I speculate that there are around 455,000 APs based on the Passport Passholders received in the mail recently (not your AP, but the special blue booklet that was sent: the one with the coupon for your free mousepad and other nifty offers). If you look on the back of the Passport, you will see a code. I don't have mine in front of me, but I called NA and she told me that the last four digits of the code are "460M." This is a designation used when printing items like this that indicate how many are printed. The M is used to designate thousands. So on this printing, they produced 460,000. Figuring they probably ordered overs for various reasons, I figure that the actual number of APs is probably around 455,000 currently.
