A river drawdown is the big buzz up here in Wisconsin's Nort' Woods. It had to be done to repair a seawall upstream from a paper mill. A whole lot of stuff from the logging industry was uncovered for the first time in many years. It would be interesting if they got enough to make a little exhibit of what was found. I think some of the most interesting stuff can be the everyday items rather than the big showy treasure etc.
Too bad about the fish, but it's good that it wasn't as bad as they thought it would be. What did people do with the fish, scoop them up in buckets and take them behind the dam?
