So we saw a bald eagle walking on the side of the road today on the way back from Gainesville (driving through farmland on the way to Homosassa/Crystal River/Spring/Whatever-It's-Called). Just sauntering. We turned around to see if it was injured, but it didn't seem to be and flew up onto a fence post. So I snapped a picture and a short while after it flew off. Really. Freaking. Cool.
In other news, (yeah, yeah, should be in the other thread, but whatever) wind's picked up on the Gulf and it's rainy. More humidity than I've experienced in a LONG time - even the Floridians are complaining. Flying over NO on the way over here, I couldn't help but feel concern over Gustav and how strong it's getting. I guess I should just be thankful that it's not going directly over us... we're just getting bristled by the finger tips.
Oh, and the Gators won. This Saturday I maayyyy try getting tix to the Miami game, though I fear it will be packed and I won't be able to get there in time to actually park and get my seat.

So, I should just take it easy and get a few beers at the ESPN zone at WDW and watch the game from there with my Gator gear on.
Tomorrow we're going to some spring.. or we're going to go tubing on the (guessing on the spelling) Itchatucknee. It all sounds like fun.
I could live in Florida. It's pretty.
