There's a santuary (doing real conservation work) in central China, where you can interact with young pandas. I think that beats event tigers (especially if the tigers are abused or maltreated).
We were seriously considering a trip to do this until China broke the camel's back with its Tibet BS and we decided even for playing with pandas we aren't willing to give them our tourist dollars at this time.
