So...that was an interesting trip.
I did manage to get to that Jazz bar. Gotta love it, just a short walk from the hotel, no cover charge, just walked in, listened to the tail end of the band's set, and had a drink. Yay.
The work stuff was good, met the people I needed to meet, stayed awake through most of the presentations. The Moscone Center in SF is incredible. And the setup in the main hall for the keynotes was insane...about 300 feet of 20 foot+ tall plasma screens and LED grids. Full stadium lighting and sound system. A little over the top for this show, but damned cool none the less. One freaky moment in one of the smaller session when a presenter stopped mid sentence, wobbled, then collapsed, falling off the little 2 foot stage. Most likely he was just exhausted/stressed from the travel and such, nothing serious, but scary to witness.
