I referred to it earlier, but I always figured that because this group started out as a result of the fallout of someone talking about a small group party on a large group board, we all planned to... sort of... acknowledge and accept the fact that sometimes we would not be able to invite everyone, and sometimes we would not be invited, and despite possibly feeling sad (on both occasions) we'd handle it as politely as possible - on both sides of the equation.
