If Jesus truly died for the sins of humanity, (as I once fervently believed) it seems to me that the only reasonable view is that of the Universalists - we're all covered - no pre-conditions, no belief requirements, no entrance exam. (Though, practically everyone I know would want to make a few exceptions for the really really evil bastards - but strict Universalism says no, everyone gets spiritually overhauled and reunited with the big G.)
