If it's an enjoyable book, usually quite the opposite is true.

If you've liked a book and then see the movie, which is almost ALWAYS not as good ... you usually end up not liking the movie. At least that's what usually happens with me.

Whereas if you've never read the book, you might like the movie ... and then love the book when you experience the better version second instead of first.


The downside is you tend to "picture" the characters as the movie actors ... but I think it's a small price to pay.
