Saw it two days ago and absolutely agree (and ain't the Arclight nice, too), esp. on the Matrix ref. My buddy Adam and I had this exact conversation, with the exception that he could also connect the Matrix scene directly to Dragonball Z. Never having watched Ash and pals (pika?), I can neither confirm nor deny his claim. He does know his anime, however.
