My concern is how appropriate the series will be for her. I understand the first book is fairly innocuous, but what should I know about the later series (Alex's previous post worries me a bit)? Ms. T DEVOURS books. She finished the entire Potter series when she was 10, has read and re-read the Warriors (and now the Seekers) series among countless others. Even though she may only get #1 for Christmas, she'll have it read in a day and will want to move on.

Any help will be appreciated!

Hmm, well, some parts might be a little bit older for a 11 year old. It's more of a teen book, then it is a kids book. It's great that she loves to read, but I would hold off of it.
