I didn't see the coach class cars so I can't compare. That said, I would say the seating was a bit more cramped than the first class seats downstairs (but Lani and I were still comfortable).

That said, I don't know if children are allowed in the dome class. They do not offer children's fares for that class (or deluxe class which has the open air car). I don't know if that means they prohibit children or that if you want to bring them you have to pay adult fair. But there were no kids in there with us.

If they are allowed, I'd say they probably aren't worth the money ($60 more per person each way) since appreciated the views are more subtle than overwhelming (like with the Grand Canyon itself) and they'll probably be more focused on each other anyway.
