You will be mailed a bill in a week or so. It will contain information about traffic school. There will be 2 amounts due, one if you want to go to traffic school, one if you don't. Traffic school will save your butt with insurance rates. I would recommend going to court if you have the time and seeing if they can reduce the charges of not having your insurance card with you (be sure to bring your card though). You can call the traffic division of the courthouse to find out information about days and hours.

Online traffic school would be your best bet. I believe Riverside county offers it. If not, comedy traffic school would be better than traffic school run by the Sheriff's department.
