Does that player have a bookmark button on the remote?
(Just 'borrowing' a friends Samsung 2550 for a bit- maybe I can help)
Apparently, on BD-J (Bluray with Java) discs, the player won't do auto-resume, but you can always make bookmarks, then when you come back, go to the scene selection menu, and your bookmarks should be there.
