There was a murder of a 'popular bartender' in the Quarter on the 17th.
Here's an article about two of the being remanded to adult court. (The third, a 14 year old, is jailed but there's a big difference in LA law between 14 and 15)

Ok, good for the Mom's for turning them in, but now there's talk about them maybe getting the Crime Stoppers Reward (standing reward for turning in murders). Yea, you "raise" a kid who goes around in a group of 2 15 year olds and a 14 year old, with gun(s), planning to rob people in the Quarter, and you might be eligible for a reward? I think not.
(Fortunately, I did NOT hear that the Mother's were ASKING for the reward, but some people think they should be offered it)
