I disagree. I think it is cute, fresh, very "Isaac". I see a definite flow from his Target days to this. The big flowers, mix of patterns, past trends redefined (I totally pick up a '70s vibe with the spring collection).
I really, really like looks #3, #9 and look #14 (
in the Spring 2009 look book). #9 is the diagonal dress that is already for sale but paired with a windowpane plaid coat lined in polka dot fabric (much better than with the matching jacket). Love it.
I haven't looked at Liz Claiborne for years but I would totally wear lots of this stuff (the polka dots notwithstanding), I think that's their idea here...it's not your mother's Liz.
