Is this thing going to be able to cut through a 1 1/4" diameter chrome pipe? How many cuts before it's destroyed? Do I need to go buy an actual metal cutting blade?
It just doesn't seem right that a $2 disc will work.

Assuming that the walls of the pipe are reasonably thick (I am guessing a drain pipe or something similar), the abrasive blade will take a LONG time to work through. You are better off getting the real thing.
Either way, cut slow and if possible, use a lubricant (like WD40).
And screw the goggles. Goggles are for wimps. Be a man!
