This is a PDF of an excellent rundown of why that is simply not true. It's based on misinformation and misinterpreted science. The belief that HCFS messes with one's appetite is based on studies done with
pure fructose, not HFCS (HFCS is only about 50% fructose) and in quantities well above normal consumption quantities.
Overeating any sweetner is bad for you, HFCS included. And for those that like the taste of the cane-sugar versions, awesome. But really, people the HCFS scare is based on little to nothing and is a major distraction from figuring out ways to actually address obesity issues.
