I've been making soups lately. From scratch, sans recipe. It's very freeing to just go into the kitchen and cook something. I think I've cooked enough now that I'm getting to the point where I know what might work. I don't have a super breadth of experience that would allow me to be on Top Chef or anything, but the show does inspire me to trust myself more and try things.
Tonight, however, will probably be sushi. That I will not make myself.
