I always wanted a French name like Madeliene or something that rolled off the tongue. When I was young I wrote under the name Taylor.
My parents named me Jill because there was no shorter version so I wouldn't have a nickname and be made fun of by other kids. They forgot to think of the fact my fathers name was Jack.....um hello.... Jack and Jill!! I was ridiculed mercilously(sp) for that all through school!
My Moms family was all double named like BennyDon, Helenbeth etc... so I guess she was trying to save me from that.
